A) MSU needed a good kicker for this class and they got one who has proven he can kick in the clutch in big games
B) His leg strength has improved every year so he should be a kickoff and FG/XP guy, MSU has not had that recently
C) He is a grey-shirt which means he will go on scholarship in Jan of 2017. He comes to MSU and pays one semester and then gets 4.5 years paid. During that 1st year he gets to redshirt behind Geiger which is a great situation.
D) MSU has a big class numbers wise in 2017 so moving Coghlin to there makes a ton of sense.
E) Another Moeller guy. That program and Cincy Catholic League teams in general not only produce talent, but they produce guys that are very coachable who know what it takes to play at next level
