Ok ladies and gents. We all knew it, but MSU is on the map big time. I don't know what the ratings were last night, but in Philly I had friends from all over the country blowing up during this game. This was must see TV.
Here are some of my thoughts after 24 hrs are up.

1) Not confirmed on Kieler, but as soon as he went down looked like an ACL or some other form of ligament tear. I want to go back to see what exactly happened, but damn that sucked.

2) Following up on that, the time is now at Tackle. Conklin is a rock, but the backup Ts need to get it right. Between Beedle, Finley and Machado we need 2 of these guys to be ready for this year in the rotation and to start next year.

3) I'd love to see Clark as a G, but he will start at T IMO for the rest of the year. Our best line after this injury is Conklin, Allen, Allen, Mcgowan, Clark.

4) At DB, I'm really concerned if the Copeland thing is a long term deal. Arjen got burnt on that Adams missed TD pass. He also played the ball terribly on the TD before that to get within 3. Edmondson was decent out there. I thought Hicks played solid, but still don't know on him since Oregon didn't target him. It would not shock me to see Coach D pull a shirt on a Fr DB or get a RS Fr in there.

5) D-line in a nutshell: me likey. Malik is the best interior lineman we have had during the Coach D era (2 games into his Sophomore campaign). I thought Worthy was great- tried to jump the snap too much, but very good player we've missed the last few years. Malik is flat out scary. Heath will get drafted- the dude is playing at a high level. Knox looked solid. I didn't like Evans out there early, but I feel like he got better as the game went on. DEs are evolving nicely. Sweat and Cooper can really rush the QB. I think the best DL is Cooper, LT, Malik, and Calhoun. I don't think many teams can deal with that.

6) LB's played at a high level. On a few plays I saw that speed Harris has in pursuit. Reschke played a man's game. Riley will be a great mike for us. Frey was great rushing the QB. I'd like to see Dowell/Harrell out there in the next couple of weeks to see what they can give us.

7) I agree with what Comp and PK said in the Vcast. MSU is glowing right now. They couldn't have scripted that day/night better. Only way is maybe without injuries and with a larger margin of victory- but beggars cant be choosers.
