Here is a link for a Toledo Blade article about a kid that I have been occasionally writing about. After getting calls from multiple SEC, ACC, Big Ten, etc colleges; he accepted IU's offer (he was called, but not offered by MSU). He is currently 6'1, 195lbs and ran a 4.53 40 at the Nike camp (that is without any specific training for the 40), and plays safety.
So here's the IU slant- the coach told him you could go to Bama and be one of 4-5 equally talented players at your position and may get to play. If you come to IU we will build our defense around you.
To be honest, it isn't far fetched with how bad their defense is. So, in speaking with his Father today, his premise in choosing IU was shared as playing time. Especially with two years of eligibility left. His Father stated that Urban did sign his release to play in the Big Ten again.
