Top things MSU can do to win the hearts and minds of of fans and recruits:

1. Win the right way.

2. Win the right way.

3. Bypass Detroit/traditional media by way of social media. (Bypass, not antagonize)

4. Forgive my non PC analogy but, use the tobacco industry's marketing model. Hook them while they're young and you will have customer/fan for life.

How many walmarters have had kids in the last 10 years? I don't know about you, but I went out of my way to do the opposite of what my parents wanted me to do. Walmarters buy newsPAPERS. Potential students and student athletes couldn't care less what the 5 o'clock news has to say about MSU(neither should we) and they surely don't buy printed media. Lol.

Egypt couldn't fight social media so MSU shouldn't try.

In my estimation, today's youth are very good at sniffing out media BS. Many of us old farts thought style was going to win the day over substance. Substance is making a comeback. Dantonio's soft sell approach is resonating with these recruits. MD is authentic. The kids sense it and will run through a walls for him.
