I know UM fans and the faint of heart are looking at the Utah and Oregon and assuming that means UM could handle Oregon easily and that it spells doom for the green and white in AA.
Well since everyone is looking at transitive properties I wanted to put a few things in perspective for everyone (stay with me here).
MSU beat AF by 14. 35 -21. Lets not forget the lead was 35-7 fairly late.
Well, AF beat San Jose State by 21, 37-16.
SJSU beat Fresno St. by 26. 49-23
So what that means is MSU is 61 points better than Fresno right?
Utah only beat Fresno by 21, 45-24. So obviously MSU is far superior to Utah.
As ridiculous as the above examples are, so is the notion that Utah & or UM would dominate MSU based off of their score against Oregon.
How about the CMU game? MSU won by 20...well CMU lost in OT at Syracuse by just 3 to the team that played LSU extremely tough only losing by 10. Obviously due to that we are at least a TD better than LSU. Look at CMU vs. OKIE St. only lost by 11 in Oklahoma to the #20 team in the country.
My point in all this is that what other teams do is not indicative of how good the Spartans are! Just let MD and staff do their thing (as they do every year), continue to get better and develop this team as the season goes on.
