Interesting for spring games is a depth chart gives you an idea about quality of players in the top 44 and what level of depth of talent exists in certain position areas.
The DEs playing in this game looks to be sparse as UM fans are wondering why Charlton and Ojemudia are omitted along with some expected injured players. Also Pipkins and James Ross are omitted at DT and LB.
Everyone knows about the QB situation....MgoBlog writers ....cheerleaders.....are saying that Rudock will be one of the best QBs in the league next year (in Brian etc. separate story at site below depth chart story)
WR looks really short on numbers who aren't walkons or always injured players....and those schollies guys are very unproven with few returning catches. At TE, it's mainly Butt coming off ACL surgery and unproven guys or tweener OT/TE types.
The LB position has lots of names I recognize.....it also made me think that this group really lacks speed in my opinion..... Maybe some of you disagree???? That was my initial thought though.
The supposed strength of the D is supposed to be DBs. What do you think of that after reviewing the safeties and corners?
Finally the OL......seems like enough names and guys who got thrown in games over the last 2 years for at least a starting five or six......whether that is a good starting 5 is another question and any injuries and I'm not sure about guys 7-10 and whether they can evenly remotely play in the BT at all.
Be interested in what guys like Matt Dorsey, Jim Comp, and our other board experts think?
