After an expected rocky return to the mound coming back from a ton of time off after his last injury, Verlander looks like he's turned things around. I'm definitely not completely off the fence, but he's been really good in 5 of his last 6 starts. The W/L numbers are bad, but that's mostly due to only getting 10 total runs in support over those 6 starts.

Overall in his last 6 starts he has gone at least 6 innings (and 7 IP in 5 of 6) in each while giving up 1 or fewer earned runs in 5 of those starts. His rough start was 7 IP, 10 H, 5 R, 5 ER against KC. He got knocked around in that one, but managed to avoid giving up the big inning at the very least.

After walking 0 batters over 3 starts he did walk 6 in the last 3 starts, but his strikeout totals are up again, with 22 in those last 3 starts.

Last 3 starts (TEX, @HOU, BOS) - 20 IP, 11 H, 4 R, 1 ER, 0 HR, 6 BB, 22 K (0 Wins, 2 Losses)

Last 6 starts (above + KC, @TB, @BOS) - 43 IP, 32 H, 11 R, 8 ER, 2 HR, 6 BB, 40 K (1 Win, 3 Losses)

While there are big questions around this organization with Dombrowski suddenly getting the axe, Price, Cespedes, and Soria out the door at the trade deadline, and a lot of questions around Ausmus, there's at least some reason for hope with Verlander seemingly getting back to form potentially being an ace again.
