With all the potential upcoming commitments I thought I'd take a minute and make some of my own commitments to you, my Spartan Friends:

1. I may disagree with you, but I will not use profanity, name-calling, or wording that insults another fan when I respond to their difference of opinions.
2. If I dislike the messages another Spartan fan is posting I will use the "Ignore" button rather than verbally attacking them.
3. I will try to take a positive view of our program and be full of gratitude for what they are achieving, rather than looking over my shoulder and relishing other's team problems and defeats.
4. I will work to not berate a coach or player for mistakes they may have made by taking those thoughts and posting them on this board.
5. When young or immature posters make statements that seem childish and simplistic I will try not to be cynical in responding to them.
6. When a recruit decides to attend another school other than MSU, I will resist the temptation to run down the: student athlete, his family, the opposition, or the opposition's coach.
7. I will always love MSU sports and try to support them as best I can.
8. I will work to understand the nature of the game: there is always a winner and always a loser. I want to be joyous/humble in victory and compassionate in defeat.

Thanks for taking the time to read this posting. I send you all the best from Missoula, MT. I appreciate so many of the people who post their thoughts, insights, knowledge, and feelings on this board. I visit it several times a day. I've grown to use SpartanMag as the pulse of the program. My hat is off to all of you.
