No earth shattering analysis, but in the half I saw, Randle is very legit. On offense he was only targeted once, and it was a completion for about 12 yards. Ran once for about 6. BC Central is a very run heavy team, and they typically line him up at WR, but started using him more in the second quarter on sweeps (similar to MSU and Shelton).
On D, he really stood out. He's constantly shedding blocks and getting into the backfield. Had one awesome sack, one pass break up, and probably 5 tackles.
If I watched this game and had no prior knowledge of him, I still would have come away saying, "That #5 dude is sweet."
I know Helmholdt was at the game evaluating. I'd be interested in seeing his more professional, detailed analysis.
Bottom line, Randle is the real deal from what I saw tonight. Something to be excited about.
