...and how many do you expect them to have?
This is my biggest "concern" with the Davis loss. I know Reschke and Frey can play, but can the get after the QB? Guys like Davis and Denicos Allen were difference makers in more than 1-2 games...made big plays which included getting to the QB on the pass rush. Do we have that in the LB corps now?
Our Frount 4 will be dominant, I'm confident in Bullough in the middle and and Harris at STAR and am also confident that Reschke and Frey will be more than solid at SAM, but can either of them be differnce makers and bring it on the rush? With a lot of inexperience in the defensive backfield the pass rush was/is critical to our dominance on that side of the ball, can either of the 2 aforementioned bring that? Will we eventually have a "specialist" play at the STAR position in certain situations (i.e. - could you see Sweat or Cooper or Martinez there in certain packages)?
Honestly, I feel like we're going to find a way to be more than good on defense, so even saying "concerned" seems to strong, but if I have a question mark that's it. What are your guys' thoughts?
