When you look at the current landscape of recruiting and the success we are enjoying, I really believe MD has created the perfect apex of cutting edge recruiting (hiring C. Blackwell and his creativity) and exciting initiatives for the existing players (new uniforms, new locker rooms, etc.), to pair with a really strong, rock solid foundation.
I think a lot of programs (maybe Oregon?) have the flash and sizzle....but maybe are viewed as a little 'quirky' in their attempts to be creative...and are a little lacking in the 'substance' department.
MD, just with his philosophical way of running a program replete with staff continuity and adherence to solid 'bed-rock' fundamentals, has the 'stability box' checked in spades.
MSU...right now is at the forefront of creating an exciting, solid culture for both recruits and existing players.
