Wrestling Preps for 60th Midlands Championships
EAST LANSING, Mich. – This weekend Michigan State wrestling heads to NOW Arena in Hoffmann Estates, Illinois, for the 60th iteration of the historic Ken Kraft Midlands Championships. Wrestling action kicks off on December 29 and carries through the afternoon of December 30.
Michigan State is one of 37 men's wrestling programs in attendance and one of nine Big Ten institutions joining host Northwestern, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio State, Purdue, Rutgers and Wisconsin.

MSU has 18 registered competitors including Nick Corday, Caleb Weiand, Andy Hampton, Tristan Lujan, Jaden Crumpler, Evan Herriman, Clayton Jones, Jack Conley, Braden Stauffenberg, Jay Nivison, Ceasar Garza, Marty Larkin, Luke Daly, Luke Vanadia, #24 Remy Cotton, Kael Wisler, Josh Terrill and Max Vanadia.
The Spartans were last in action on December 15, a 21-14 dual loss on the road at Cal State Bakersfield. Midlands will be the final tune-up for MSU before it enters Big Ten competition on Friday, January 10 on the road at No. 1-ranked Penn State. Michigan State hosts No. 3—ranked Maryland on Sunday, January 12 for its first home dual of the season.
