Yep, the D. But the O?

I’m w/folks on the D and Hazelton. Change needed, after the season.

But, I’m scratching my head about the O.

I know they’ve been down early, but the O is part of the reason.

As opposed to last year, incredibly predictable on O.

There is NO reason this run game shouldn’t be solid. It isn’t.

And I’m just confounded why Collins isn’t the guy. He’s clearly the best back we have—by a lot. Anyone can see that.

We can’t consistently protect Thorne—and again, we’re SO predictable that it helps opponents pass rush.

And we have weapons—even when JReed has been hurt—Barker, Coleman, Carr, Mosley. Yet, we seem unable to consistently threaten other teams w/those weapons. Or we only do so in highly predictable situations.

TE blocking has been TERRIBLE for two years in a row, w/little progress. That’s coaching. They can’t ALL be incapable of learning to block. (And this had hurt the run game and pass pro, no doubt.)

Thorne has clearly lost his mojo—some of which is on him, but a bunch isn’t. I still think he can be excellent, but not like this. He needs help.

I don’t know if it’s time to go to Kim. I’m not at practice and a few nice throws in garbage time only mean so much.

I thought Jay Johnson was great last year. And sure, KWIII makes your offense really dangerous, but this is an abject failure.

I’m not advocating they fire JJ, and I think OL takes more time than any other position to develop, so I’m fully supportive of Kapilovic. And Hawk.

JJ, Ephrem, Ted Gill? I don’t know.

And Els is fully focused on Special Teams and this is the result?

Not good enough, either…and I’m not talking about FG kicking. I’m talking about everything else.

Thoughts?
