The Michigan State football program has established a great pipeline with Cass Technical High School in Detroit, and most recently offered 2025 three-star athlete/defensive back Cashus Shivers.
Shivers was on campus on Saturday.
"It was just all love from the whole school," Shivers said about the visit. "From the staff to the grad assistants to the coaches to the players, it was just good the whole way through."
I particularly loved this quote about his playing style:
"I describe myself as a big, physical, hands-on type of guy," Shivers said. "I feel like that's what separates me — my strength and my ability to put my hands on guys. Those four and five stars (athletes), they can't really do anything if they're on the ground. I like my physical playing style. Somebody can be probably better than me or whatever it is, but I'm gonna out-physical you. I'm in the weight room more than you. I'm gonna use my strength to the best of my ability. I'm gonna just out-strong whoever it is."
