This week feel pretty big. Maryland is no Washington, but they aren't CMU or Richmond either. I do think the recency bias has pushed this line higher than it should be, but that is ultimately up to the Spartans to "make the fate for themselves." A loss on homecoming Saturday will make a bowl game very hard to get to. But it is fair to ask what the risk/reward is for a dumpster fire of a season? More losses mean more coaches won't come back. But more losses also means some players won't come back. Is there an optimal result where MSU can retain talent but still revamp the coaching staff?
