Between colleagues, friends, the media, and the Fort, I think there is an honest competition between the word usage totals of "Harbaugh" vs. "fluke" this football season. It's super-sore-loser speak, sour grapes, or denial, I'm sure, but the only thing that was "flukey" about that play was where JWJ happened to be positioned when that ball fell into his hands...

As mentioned, sending gunners, going rugby-style at that juncture in the game, and not tackling before the goal line was a lack of "execution", not fortune.

Is it "flukey" when a team loses by one in hoops after missing the front end of a one-and-one with no time left? "Flukey" when you lose a hole in golf after missing a four-foot putt? How are the formation/play call, long snapper, and O'Neill's hands not considered culpable?

If they have to use a non-secular word to describe Rangers, perhaps the better word choice would be "divine intervention"; although, that would align too neatly with Michigan State's destiny season and MD's "completion" statement after the Rose Bowl for Michigan fans to endure...
