As promised here are the developing plans are the MSU vs Washington weekend Sept. 16-18, 2022.
The Seattle Spartans local alumni club has organized a few events/initiatives around the weekend, here is the message they’ve prepared for interested alumni who plan to come to town. Let us know if you have any questions.
Dear Spartan,
We look forward to welcoming you to town for the MSU vs University of Washington Weekend! We know there is a lot of anticipation building for the event and we’ve been partnering with the universities since the game was announced to make it an awesome event for all Spartans in Seattle for the weekend!
Here is an overview of information we are sharing with everyone planning to come to town that weekend:
Game Day Tickets: Football game tickets are now available through this link provided for group sales.
Game Day Activities: The Seattle Spartans alumni club originally planned to organize a sailgating experience before the game. However, due to the magnitude of people planning to descend on the city, we are opting to organize an on-ground tailgate for the day of the game. We are planning for the E1 lot which has a beautiful view of the stadium and Lake Washington and where the party is at! More details about location are to come.
If you are still interested in planning a sailgate for your group, we recommend checking out Argosy Cruise or other local boat companies directly.
Other Weekend Activities:
Friday, 9/16: Since we know there was a lot of interest in a boating experience, we organized a “Welcome Cruise” for the Friday before the football game, the cruise is on 9/16. MSU Alumni, current students, friends, and family are welcome to join. This event is capped at 350 people, so grab your ticket to secure your spot today! Friday, 9/16: The Men’s Soccer team is also playing a game vs. University of Washington on Friday 9/16. The game time has yet to be announced but the Spartan Athletics website and our Facebook page will have details once it is.
Friday, 9/16 night: we will plan to host a meet-up in the Fremont neighborhood (the home of LTD, an MSU game watch bar) where Spartans can gather. This will be an opportunity for everyone to meet-up whether they went on the boat, to the soccer game, or are getting out on the town later that night!
