According to Hawk Central, Iowa State Auditor Rob Sand is demanding that Iowa fire Athletic Director Gary Barta before or as a component of him approving a settlement over a 2020 discrimination lawsuit filed by former players. Under the terms of the settlement released Monday morning, the state's general fund would be on the hook for a reported $1.825 million out of the $4 million settlement.
