Why do we falter so bad vs Bama? Other schools don't? Others keep the game reasonably tight. Only losing by a few scores or less. Ole Miss found a way to win and they're hardly elite.
I'm not calling for Warners head like some but I did think some play calling was garbage.
We waited until the very end almost to run the shovel pass to Price. Great play and a type of play that would've been there earlier in the game!
I think if we had better play calling and found a way to score early, the game could've been totally different.
Also my biggest gripe... Why couldn't we just settle for short yardage passing. Dumping it off here and there. I think those passes would've been open and Cook and the offense could've built some confidence.
We looked lost after giving up the deep ball and our confidence just seemed to dive after the interception to end the half.
So tough to lose the game like this. Know Coach D and the players were much better than the score and game indicated.
