The Knight Commission released its report suggesting a number of policies and changes to be made to Division I athletics ahead of the upcoming infusion of CFP income. You can find the full report at the link below. As a percentage of expenses, student-athlete aid is significantly smaller at the P5 level. However, total dollar amounts spent at that level dwarf G5, FCS, and no football DI programs. Meanwhile, coaching salaries (both head and assistants) have ballooned by 81% since 2011 compared to just 32% for student-athlete aid.
