The Michigan State men’s basketball team is coming off a crucial 63-58 home win over Maryland on Tuesday, and is now preparing to travel and take on Ohio State in Columbus on Super Bowl Sunday.

Even with the Buckeyes’ struggles (11-13 overall, 3-10 in Big Ten play), going on the road and getting a win in Columbus is still a tall task.

“Yeah, I think it is (harder to win on the road than ever before),” Izzo said. “I think it’s tough to win on the road. “I don’t know if it’s any different (than in the past) or just there’s better teams, so they’re more evenly-matched. It used to be to go on the road, if the team wasn’t quite as good, you could get a win, but if the team’s just as good as you are, sometimes it matters if you’re home or away. Right now, it’s been hard to win on the road, as you can see for a lot of teams.”
