Head coach Jake Boss just announced that pitching coach Mark Van Ameyde is set to have a kidney transplant.
His donor is his wife.
He will be out for about a month. He will do scouting reports from his bed as he recovers. Other coaches will help out with the pitching (Boss, Sikes, Stone, etc.) at practice, during games, etc.
