I have been doing research on Puerto Rico as a potential retirement spot. My understanding is that, upon becoming a resident, you will pay no federal income taxes. This is a huge amount of $$$.
I am wondering if anyone else has looked into this.
I was also wondering if there was any type of dollar limit. e.g. I could live there for two years, realize all my 401k gains and not pay any federal taxes.
