When the season started I thought Thorne was an X factor. Even thought he could be a top QB in B1G and nationally based on his performances against Michigan and Penn State last year, Now I think he is just average and certainly not a difference maker. He isn’t the same QB as last year. He had at least three throws today wildly off the mark that ended drives.
Should we go in different direction next year? I like his understanding of the game and ability to capitalize on matchups. His arm and feet skills are just not sufficient. He will not get us a B1G championship. What’s the right solution next year? Should we let him go (play for his dad) next year and move to Hauser? Feels like UofM situation one year later. Not sure if we have a better solution.
