FOOTBALL My take on Aidan Chiles

Aidan is special. He is going to be a star. Sure he mad a couple bad throws. But his play making ability is what made the BC game winnable. Without him, we aren’t in a position to win it with a minute or so to go. He made so many great plays avoiding sacks and keeping drives open. If we call the right play and continue going to the tight ends on that last drive, we don’t give up that endzone pick and probably win the game. The play call was the bigger issue, more so than the throw itself. He could have easily been sacked on that play, if not for his tremendous elusiveness. His ceiling is off the charts on how good he can be.

Hang in there Aidan, you are going to make us Spartans proud. Go Green!!

OTHER SCHOOLS: Thorne porn and application to Chiles

In the should have, could have, what could have been.

Thorne has been abysmal against good competition. While he completed a couple of big gainers, and the interception he threw was a catchable ball, although it was slightly behind the receiver and high, the dude should have caught it, he completed a very low percentage of his passes and took sacks by holding the ball too long. Until Arkansas dropped into prevent, his completion percentage was below 50%. Same as it was against Cal.

For anyone lamenting about PT, he has not gotten any better.

How does this relate to Chiles? We assume he will stop sailing balls and throwing so many interceptions. That is not a given. Just see PT who Auburns fans are ready to burn at the stake along with Hugh “I routinely throw my players under the bus” Freeze.

Just hoping the light goes on for Chiles, and he becomes more accurate with better decision making.

Question re: Chiles, "long game", and NIL

Please forgive my ignorance on these topics but we are playing Chiles because we're playing the "long game" and I totally get it. But if Chiles develops and starts to show marked improvement by the end of the season, are we then facing the prospect of an Ohio State or SEC program poaching him from us? How does the NIL "contracts" work? It's a new era of college football and these kids are routinely coming and going. Do we have this kid locked up or can he easily leave next season?

FOOTBALL Jonathan Smith reacts to a preventable first loss as MSU head coach

The turnovers finally came back to bite MSU this time, as the Spartans fell to Boston College, 23-19. Growing pains were always going to be a part of the whole process, but there is no avoiding it.
