MSU Men’s Tennis Announces Fall 2024 Schedule​

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State men's tennis head coach Harry Jadun announced the team's 2024 fall tennis schedule on Monday.

Jadun is entering his third season as head coach alongside assistant coaches Mike Flowers and Kazuki Matsuno.

MSU kicks off its fall schedule this weekend at the Battle in the Bay Tournament in San Francisco, California.

This year's team has six returning Spartans and three incoming freshmen to round out the team.

Following the Battle in the Bay, MSU will travel to Louisville, Kentucky for the Louisville Invitational on Sept. 16-19.

Two of the 12 tournaments will be held locally including the M15 Ann Arbor tournament on Sept. 30-Oct. 3 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and the ITA Team Regionals, which take place in East Lansing at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility on Oct. 10-14.

The Spartans will travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma on Sept. 21-29 for ITA All-American Championships. ITA Conferences Masters will be held in San Diego, California on Nov. 7-10. At the same time, some Spartans will head to Waco, Texas for ITA Sectionals.

MSU individual players will also compete in a handful of M15 tournaments including Fayetteville (Sept 16-19), Winston-Salem (Oct. 14-17), and Norman (Oct. 21-24), in prep for the Spring schedule that gets underway in January, 2025.

For the first time, the NCAA Individual Championships will be conducted in the fall instead of in the spring. The 2024 NCAA Individual Championships will be Nov. 19-24 in Waco, Texas.

MSU Men’s Tennis Hits the Road for First Action of 2024 Fall Season​


EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State men's tennis opens fall action this weekend, with Spartan players in action in different tournaments around the country.

Several members of the MSU team will head to San Francisco, California for the Battle in the Bay tournament on Sept. 12-15, while others will be playing in the heading to Louisville, Kentucky this weekend for the Louisville Invite.

Three members of the Michigan State men's tennis team, junior Ozan Baris, freshmen Matthew Forbes and Danial Rakhmatullayev, will head to San Francisco, California for the Battle in the Bay tournament on Sept. 12-15.

This is the second year the team has sent players to this tournament including Baris, the 2023 Battle in the Bay Men's Singles Champion.

After a great summer, Forbes is looking to continue his fight and victories at his first tournament with MSU.

The Spartans are looking to ace their first tournament this weekend to defend their title of 2023 Battle in the Bay Champions.

Freshman Mitchell Sheldon is heading to Louisville, Kentucky this weekend for the Louisville Invite. Sheldon is looking forward to kicking off his start at MSU with a trip down to Louisville.

More action is coming up as the opening week of action continues for three Spartans, sophomore Taym Alazmeh, junior David Saye and senior Max Sheldon, who will be traveling to Fayetteville, Arkansas to compete in the ITF USTA 15K Fayetteville Futures on Sept. 16-19.

FOOTBALL Through the hardship of injury, MSU OL Stanton Ramil relied on faith

During a time of adversity, Michigan State OL Stanton Ramil relied on his faith in God to get him through his knee injury and recovery.

"I really focused on my relationship with God. I got back and tried to be as selfless as I can."
