RECRUITING 2024 LB Brady Pretzlaff feels like a 'priority' after MSU official visit

The new coaching staff at Michigan State, led by head coach Jonathan Smith, is looking to flip 2024 in-state three-star linebacker Brady Pretzlaff and made a big impression on him this weekend.

The Gaylord, Michigan native was on campus for an official visit on Friday and Saturday before departing East Lansing on Sunday morning.

Pretzlaff is currently committed to Minnesota, but the Spartans gave him a lot to think about over the past couple of days.

He was accompanied on the the tip by his mother, Molly, and father, Jeff. The Pretzlaff family really enjoyed their time in East Lansing and appreciated getting to know the new coaching staff.

"Visit (to Michigan State) went really well," Pretzlaff told Spartans Illustrated. "I think my favorite parts were learning what the program had to offer, which was far more than on-the-field success that it sets athletes up for. "

OTHER SCHOOLS: Dr. G&W's Bowl Preview

It has been a long and crazy football season, and I am back for one more dose of Bad Betting Advice for the MSU community and beyond. There is essentially no MSU content here, but I hope that it is interesting for any hard-core college football fan.

With all of the transfers, injuries, and coaching moves, bowl season seems harder and harder to predict. My computer model doesn’t account for any of those things. From this point of view, it is reasonable to assume that the computers might be way off

That said, anecdotally, I feel like the computers have done reasonably well recently, despite all the turmoil. I am curious to see how the machines perform this year.

In other words, bettor beware.

NEW COMMIT: Oregon State transfer Aidan Chiles commits to Michigan State

@Dylan Callaghan-Croley has more on Oregon State transfer quarterback Aidan Chiles here. Huge get for Michigan State. ESPN's Pete Thamel was first to report the news.

MEN'S BASKETBALL Expectations

My prognosis is that we will be 7-6 at the end of the month. We will lose to Baylor And should win the next 3. We have 18 Big Ten Games this season. In my view we need to win 13 or 14 of those games to have a good chance to be in the big dance. We get PSU, NW, UM, Iliini,
Minny, and Maryland twice. We play Purdue, indiana, Wisc, Iowa, OSU and Rutgers once.

Can we get 13 or 14 wins in Big Ten play?

Would be nice for the caretakers of this site to

get rid of old posts( some going back over two weeks) when what they were discussing is very old news indeed. I preferred when commitments were in red for seniors and would like a new TBD color to indicate transfer commits if that's possible. I go to site a lot during these times for updates and am tired of wading through material that is out of date and and that I've already seen numerous times. Thanks.
