Trever Jackson says this weekend could turn into a visit to MSU or SU

get rid of old posts( some going back over two weeks) when what they were discussing is very old news indeed. I preferred when commitments were in red for seniors and would like a new TBD color to indicate transfer commits if that's possible. I go to site a lot during these times for updates and am tired of wading through material that is out of date and and that I've already seen numerous times. Thanks.

For the second week this season, Trey Augustine has been named the B1G's 1st Star of the Week. Augustine made 66 saves last weekend as the Spartans swept Notre Dame 5-2, 2-1. Augustine was actually 14 seconds away from his 2nd career shutout on Saturday night. The freshman is likely to be the USA starter at the upcoming World Junior Championship as well.

Here is some good news for freshman linebacker Jordan Hall

In my opinion, Hall is the most important player for Smith to try to hold onto. Harlen compared Hall to Kirk Cousins from a leadership point of view. Hall has not entered the portal yet (and at this point we should assume that no player is safe, so to speak) But so far, so good on that front.

Jonathan Smith has his first public commitment as head coach of Michigan State, as 2024 three-star athlete/running back Makhi Frazier pledged to the Spartans on Tuesday.

Frazier was previously committed to Oregon State under Smith, assistant head coach/running backs coach Keith Bhonapha and several other of the coaches who have made the move from Corvallis to East Lansing.

Thanks to an already strong familiarity with the coaching staff, Frazier felt comfortable committing to the Spartans.

"Everything is right for me and my goals in the future on and off the field," Frazier told Spartans Illustrated about his decision to commit to Michigan State

Michigan State tight end Maliq Carr and offensive lineman Kristian Phillips have entered the portal, Spartans Illustrated has confirmed.

Earlier in the week, sources told Spartans Illustrated that this was expected to happen with Carr.

Michigan State (4-4, 0-1) travels to Lincoln to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers (7-2, 0-1) in Big Ten action.

The Spartans are 3.5-point favorites on Fanduel Sportsbook with the point total set at 145.5.

Tip off from Lincoln is set for 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time on the Big Ten Network.

Three Spartans are headed to the transfer portal. Noah Kim and Christian Fitzpatrick have entered the transfer portal as grad transfers. Geno VanDeMark intends to enter the portal when the window opens on Dec. 4.

Per David Jesse of The Chronical of Higher Education, Michigan State will announce Kevin Guskiewicz as its new President on Friday morning.

The current UNC-Chapel Hill chancellor, Guskiewicz has spent the past 26 years teaching at UNC.

Yes, lots of games left to play, but lots of problems exist with this supposedly national championship candidate.
The huge and I mean huge problem is the lack of post players. Sissoko and Cooper combined for 2 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist. You can’t win games with these two.
In other posts Walker was compared to Winston. Yes, Tyson is a great player but not the take charge guy that Cassius was. Winston also has the X man Mr. Tillman in the middle. We have no one that can carry his strap.
Lousy football season and might be a bad BB year based on preseason expectations.
