Over the past several seasons, MSU has been near the top of the conference in pass attempts. 4th or higher over the past five seasons. This year so far, MSU is 12th in the conference.
When you consider that MSU is one of just three teams that has thrown 10 or more passing TD's, one has to wonder why MSU isn't throwing more this year. Every game has been pretty similar. Once MSU gets a two score lead, MD and staff seems to shelve the passing attack.
I would imagine this will change some going forward, but to date, it seems like MSU is not allowing it's best player (Cook) to have more of an impact in games.
