From everything I've seen this spring, MSU fans are eager to look ahead to games against Oregon and Ohio State, with the game at Michigan serving as a different kind of test.

What about the game at Nebraska, the first week of November?

Today, I was interviewed by a writer for the Nebraska Rivals.com site about MSU and that matchup. I went over all 22 MSU positions with him. It was pretty in-depth, as for my thoughts on MSU.

When I asked him about Nebraska, he noted that RB Abdullah is gone, as is WR Bell, and DE Gregory. D-line should be okay, o-line is getting better, LBs are thin, the QB (Armstrong) isn't suited for Riley's offense. But he thought Nebraska was still a 9-win team.

I said if Nebraska is indeed a 9-win team, that MSU could certainly run into a tough obstacle when going to Lincoln for a night game.

(Me? At first glance, I'm not sure Nebraska can maintain its streak of nine-win seasons. But if Nebraska is in fact a 9-win team, is this a game that concerns anyone? And can you believe I'm asking if an MSU trip to Lincoln Freaking Nebraska isn't a concern? It's truly bizzarro world college football, for those of you who remember the '70s, '80s and '90s.)
