Just discovered that Michigan State commit Arvega Hovsepyan made his debut in the BCHL tonight with the Wenatchee Wild. This could be bad news for him. He's no longer in the USHL where he was with the Cedar Rapids Roughriders. In general, the USHL is considered to be an elite junior league with Canadian leagues such as the BCHL and NAHL behind it. Hovsepyan is 19 years old and is technically still slated to join MSU in 2023-24. We'll keep an eye open though.

Hovsepyan began the year with the Tri-City Storm where he played three games and recorded one point. In 11 games with Cedar Rapids, he had two points. He was a commit in the Cole regime from Sept. 2021.
