1. They repped the Big Ten well.

2. The Big Ten has some teams, and some young programs. Chryst is just getting started.

3. Miami was well-coached. I liked the double-team they put on UW's defensive tackle a few times. And their LBs were very well-briefed in sticking with those Wisconsin sneak TE routes that the Badgers tried to spring on them a couple of times. However, the play-action pass on third goal that Richt called was pretty tired. Third-and-goal at the 8 and run a delaaaaaaayed play-action, with the bow down fake? No one is biting on that elongated, one-read play fake on third-and-long/goal.

4. Wisconsin was very, very predictable. How many first-and-10 run plays did we see? A ton. But good teams are predictable too. Ohio State is very predictable on offense, but you still have to stop them. And then Wisconsin hit the ground to run clock. Percentage-wise, it's a good way to go about business. Hornibrook was excellent, but when in control of a game like that, and with a ground game like they have, UW was smart to avoid putting the ball in the air any more than they did. They were wise to probe the run on first down, just to make sure Miami wasn't wearing thin.

5. And to reiterate ... wow, there are some tough contenders in the Big Ten. Ohio State, MSU, Wisconsin, Penn State all go into the off-season thinking they should be in the hunt for the playoff next year.
