Jonathan Smith, Oregon State and Jason Candle, University of Toledo.
Smith has OSU at 8 - 2 with wins over Utah and UCLA, and games yet to play v Washington and @ Oregon. I'll be tuned in next week to see how OSU looks at home v Washington. In normal circumstances I wouldn't think Smith would have any interest in MSU, but with the PAC 12 in it death throes, he may feel the need to move on.
Candle has won consistently at Toledo since taking the reins in 2016. UT is sitting at 9 - 1 this year. The UT program seems to be a well-oiled machine with no drama. I could see Candle being a very long term guy at MSU providing much needed stability and credibility.
Although the search supposedly is exclusively focused on candidates with HC experience, I continue to think Hartline at Ohio State might be a guy to roll the dice on.
