BASEBALL/SOFTBALL BASEBALL: Vradenburg selected by the Marlins No. 78

Michigan State junior first baseman Brock Vradenburg has been selected No. 78 overall by the Miami Marlins. He still has NCAA eligibility and could theoretically forgo signing and return to MSU next season.

For those that missed it, shortstop Mitch Jebb was drafted No. 42 by the Pittsburgh Pirates yesterday.
