For nearly half a century, Thanksgiving in Flint meant thousands would head to Atwood Stadium to watch Northern and Central duke it out for high school football supremacy.


The rivalry game between Flint Northern and Flint Central high schools was a local tradition for 48 years, from 1928 to 1976.
