As seen in this tweet, the players are wearing what look like black sports bras.



However, in the middle of their backs is a monitor which measures effort during practice and stats such as burst (number of times player goes from zero to at least 12 miles per hour). It’s part of a system called Catapult.

Some players look like they are cruising through practice only to find out they are putting forth top quartile effort - just making it look easy. Others cannot take time off as it shows up in the stats.

Pretty cool use of technology to get maximum off season effort and player development
