I live in a large school district in GR in the OK red conference. The youth football board meet tonight and I just found out so far:
38 kids signed up for tackle for 3rd-8th and 22 for flag 2nd-8th.
normally we have three teams of 22 kids for tackle for 3rd and 4th combines and same for 5th and 6th combined. Then like 45 on a team in 7th and same in 8th.
last year they had 46 flag in 2nd grade alone.
I know sign ups might of gotten lost in all this. They are offering full refunds if something happens but they can’t really share safety rules until passed down from high school. Wondering how this might really hurt youth sports.
