There was a brief window of time last week, after Michigan lost to Minnesota, where MSU had the best odds to win the Big Ten. But then Purdue won in Oregon and surpassed the Green and White. Even after MSU took down Illinois, I still had Purdue in the lead.
But on Tuesday, the Boilermakers stubbed their two against Ohio State and now the Spartans are firmly in control of the Big Ten race. There is still a LONG way to go, but Michigan State has a cushion AND the rest of the schedule looks fairly even.
