David Fennell and walk-on Collin Lucas have gotten No. 2 fullback reps during training camp. I think you'll see a tight end, however, at FB before you'll see either Fennell or Lucas. Here is what Pendleton had to say about his understudies.
"Both of those guys can be great blockers. They can move people. Right now, they are working on picking up the offense as we go. They haven’t got a lot of reps there in the past. Both of them are quick learners.”
on Fennell specifically:
"He is playing so much better now that he knows the offense,” Pendleton said. “When you don’t know the offense, you are going to play hesitant. When you learn the offense like he has, you pick up on things you missed before and things start to move a lot slower for you.”
