Granted, this is EXACTLY what I said in my article from a few days ago. It makes WAY more send to send Houston to the West Region. It isn't significantly farther than Indianapolis, and it has a much more accessible airport. Furthermore, it allows the committee to keep teams like Florida and Michigan State closer to home and send the (when the dust settles) third best SEC team out west.
MSU has basically no path to the East Region. A win today and I think that they should be a lock to the Midwest Region, either as the No. 1 or the No. 2. If they lose to Wisconsin, the South Region No. 2 is still a possibility, but that seems like a no-brainer to put St. Johns there. But, sometimes the Committe is a bit short on brains.
