OFF TOPIC: I know I am opening up Pandora's Box....TV related

Time for new TV.....I have been living with 720 Plasma for last 5 years. It has actually served my family well. I got it for a steal when Plasma lost the battle.

So now I am looking for something new pref around $1000. I know they have LED/LCD, 1080, Ultra, Smart, Curved etc...Just looking for a solid TV at a decent price pref around 55 inches. Anyone do any shopping lately?
