I saw the potential in the 2012 team. I knew the outstanding team that we had. I knew the players that we had waiting in the wings. And then I watched them lose 5 games by an average of 2.6 points. I never quit on that team. I told everyone that would listen and some that wouldn't about our potential. Right or wrong, there were moral victories that season. Coach even talked about the close losses in press conferences. The thing is, I and many others were right. We were so close to winning then, just like we are so close to losing now.

I'm not "wetting the bed". "Giving up on the team", or "saying to fire coaches one half and then loving them the next" like has been suggested regarding anyone who questions the teams performance. My point is, be real. Questioning whether current subpar performances will get us through the entire season is not treason.

Yes, injuries have gone against us. Injuries derail seasons constantly. I think for many fans, so much has been made about this being our year, with our senior QB, experience at OL, etc. that it is too scary to talk about it not working out. We are 5-0 and we can get better. We are still in it. But we are playing Russian roulette. There were a lot of busts today, including new found running room.

I'll take the wobbly wins. Although, they kind of feel like spinning out in your car on some black ice. Just because you ended up back in your lane facing the right direction when it was over, it doesn't mean you're Richard Petty and didn't almost just die.
