1. Our secondary will be better this year? Yes. But a lot depends if the edge rushers pressure the opposing QB more.
2. Will the DL, Tackles and DE be better this year? Will the new talent upgrade the pass rush? Probably.
3. Will the DL continue to stuff the run? Yes.
4. Is the LB corps solid? Yes.
Therefore, will the defense be better? Yes.

5. Will the OL be better than last year? Unknown at this time. While the starting 5 are decent and experienced, will the 2 deeps provide adequate backup play? Unknown, though younger OL are not as good as 5th or 4th year seniors.
6. Will the TE’s be better? Probably, if the OC and QB throw more to them.
7. QB and WRs. The loss of Nailor hurt, but we still won without him. We’re still solid there. Still, no experienced backup QB is a concern.
8. RBs. Aye, there’s the rub. There’s lots of talent there. KWIII is a hard act to follow. Will the TEs be effective in blocking? Do the RBs have the breakaway speed of KW? Will there be a drop off in the # of yards and TDs? It’s likely there will be a drop off in the running game.
9. The kicking game. The punter is a good, seasoned punter. The kicker is a great unknown. It’s probable he will win games for us…we will find out. Uncertain.
10. Special Teams. Since we have better athletes overall, we should have good returns teams, stopping theirs and having adequate returns ourselves. Again, a lot depends on our kicker.

So, is it fair to assume the D will be better than last year? Yes.
Is it fair to assume the O will be better? We have good RBs and WRs, TEs, and QB. And we have good play calling resulting in successful trick plays. To me, the O will still be very productive.
