It would be interesting to find out if Coach D, or coach Tressel orchestrated the Powell transfer. As close as the coaches are to the players it would not surprise me if our coaching staff reached out to Youngstown State for an opportunity for him to transfer. They knew his playing time would be limited based on the talent at his positions. He will be an immediate star at Youngstown IMO. Ohio kid with Ohio roots and if he still has favorable vibes agbout the Spartans this should be a story that gets told IMO. Coach D and staff bending over backwards for what is best for the individual kid not just the Spartans. I am hoping Comp or Paul can get some inside info on this.
