He needs to average just 62 rushing yards per game to hit it, and is averaging over 100 since he became the lead back.
Despite all the talented backs we have had only White and Bell have broken that barrier, at least by what I could find (please fact check me here if I’m wrong). Duckett was close but split carries, Langford might have gotten there but he got hurt at the beginning of his first starting year for the Bears, Clinton Jones may have with a longer 16 game season, but that’s it.
With all the talent we have had over the years at that position, he has a chance to do something pretty special to be the first rookie to do that. Yet another achievement for him, and from a recruiting perspective, I think we can actually all agree on this one…. it couldn’t hurt RB recruiting if he hits it. 👍
