Ok, Baylor looks good. But MSU beat Baylor in the Cotton Bowl last year, and MSU still unbeaten at 5-0, and beat a hot Oregon team.
#2 sounds about right to me.
If MSU gets Conklin and Kieler back, and avoid any other major injuries (with the exception of Davis and Copeland), we have as good a shot as anyone to get into the playoff this year.
