Practice has resumed this week.

I know there are a lot of Michigan high school playoff fanatics out there. Tell me if you have any feelings or interests on any of these games.

These Regional Final games will be played on Jan. 2:

Division 1

Cass Tech (9-0) at Belleville (9-0)
Romeo (5-4) at West Bloomfield (8-1)
Detroit Catholic Central (9-0) at Davison (9-0)
Saline (8-1) at Rockford (7-0)

* The Cass Tech vs Belleville game is a showdown. I saw Belleville's Regional Semifinal game against Canton on TV and Belleville is loaded, as we all know. Cass Tech is a perennial power. Very interesting matchup.

Cass Tech has Penn State commitments Kalen King and Kobe King, plus Michigan center commitment Raheem Anderson.

Belleville has scat back WR Deion Burks who is committed to Purdue, plus Penn State LB signee Jamari Buddin and Alabama DT signee Damon Payne.

* Northwestern signee Brendan Sullivan quarterbacked Davison to a state title last year. He will be able to play on Jan. 2. And maybe on Jan. 9. But apparently he is due to enroll at Northwestern in mid-January and would definitely miss the state title game if they make it that far.

Darn. If Davison is as good as last year, would have loved to have seen him match up against the Detroit area representative.

Also, Michigan commitment Donovan Edwards is supposed to enroll at Michigan early too and could miss the state title game if West Bloomfield makes it that far.

Lots of interesting underclassmen to watch in this bracket.

* West Bloomfield athlete Dillon Tatum.
* Belleville DB Myles Rowser
* Belleville athlete Jeremiah Caldwell
* Belleville athlete Christian Rapley
* Belleville CB Deshaun Lee
* Cass Tech DT Deone Walker
* Rockford DE Kade Kostus
* Cass Tech OL Jackson Pruitt

Division 2
Muskegon Mona Shores (9-0) at East Lansing (9-0)
North Farmington (7-2) at Traverse City Central (8-1)
Oak Park (4-5) at Livonia Churchill (6-2)
Warren De La Salle (5-4) at Warren Mott (7-1)

Michigan State commitments:
* Ethan Boyd, OL, East Lansing
* Davion Primm, RB, Oak Park
* Rayshaun Benny, DL, Oak Park
* Tyson Watson, DE, Warren Mott

It's unclear how many games Boyd will be able to play for East Lansing. We will look into it. He is due to enroll at Michigan State early.

Others of note:
Joshua Burnham, LB, Traverse City Central

Division 3
East Grand Rapids (6-3) at Muskegon (8-1)
Stevensville Lakeshore (7-2) at DeWitt (9-0)
Flint Kearsley (6-3) at Chelsea (9-0)
River Rouge (7-1) at Detroit King (6-3)

Division 7
Oscoda (9-0) at Traverse City St. Francis (7-2)
Cass City (9-0) at Ithaca (9-0)
New Lothrop (8-0) at Detroit Loyola (8-1)
Jackson Lumen Christi (5-4) at Schoolcraft (8-1)

* Detroit Loyola has Michigan State signee DT Derrick Harmon.
