Michigan State has hired Rachel Sachs as its head football performance dietician. She will replace Amber Rinestine in the role.

Sachs most recently worked with Purdue, serving as the primary dietitian for the Boilermakers’ volleyball, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, and men’s and women’s golf programs over the past year. She also helped with Purdue's football team.

Sachs also worked as a football dietetic intern at Florida State in 2021, and has interned at Northwestern and Illinois as well. She earned her master’s of science degree in exercise physiology from FSU in 2022 and her bachelor’s of science degree in dietetics from Illinois in 2020.
