Mike sent me a text saying he had a great visit to Michigan State University and was on his way home. He said it was a great visit, long day. When I asked him about a scholarship offer his response was somewhat vague.
He said he was going to talk with his coach about things and then would give me a call back tomorrow and let me know what his plans are.
I am not one to push a kid. I can't say for sure if he was offered. Maybe he was offered, maybe he was told they need to wait a few days and see how things play out or need to see him at camp. Maybe MSU said they would bring him in as a guy who could play OL or DL? I could speculate all night.
If I had to guess I would say MSU feels good about Naquan Jones and with camp a week away just wants him to come back up and work with Coach Burton 1 on 1.. That is pure speculation.
