The following is from a CBS article on the Bulldogs' attempt to educate players on the cost of living payments they are to receive:
------
Mississippi State athletes who want their new cost of attendance checks will need to complete monthly financial education courses.
Starting this fall, athletic departments are allowed to provide additional stipends to players that cover their school's full cost-of-attendance value. At Mississippi State, that extra money for a full-scholarship athlete equates to another $516 a month (or $5,156 for the year).
-------
Perhaps someone should educate the educators on the fact that 12 times $516 does not equal $5,156.
The article states that Miss State has among the highest COA in the SEC. This is proof to me that the Big is not fully exploiting the rules in existance.
